Testing 1, 2...

I was a sophomore in high school the last time I wrote a blog post, so this is somewhat new territory. I am used to writing in notebooks or within Microsoft Word, however this format seems like something I can get used to. I enjoy the customization and feel like I would write just about anything. Either that, or I have been watching too much Jane the Virgin recently... For those who aren't familiar with the show, Jane is a writer and they constantly show her writing/typing process. Needless to say, I am looking forward to using this format!

      Hi Naomi, it is great to see a familiar face in a class! I look forward to learning more about genre fiction together. I don't know if you have written a blog before, but I can't help but think of that TV show! It is pretty funny, and I find it hilarious that you mention Rafael :D

       Finding Fiction There are several ways to market a library's fiction collection, and I think many of these can be done intentionally to meet the needs of the branch and the population it is serving. Based on my experience in a university library and a public library, I have found a few favorites that I enjoy implementing.  I think the best ways to market a fiction collection is by using displays, creating book discussions, and utilizing bookmarks.  The "Good Books You May Have Missed" display mentioned in the reading sounds like a great way to approach readers who might otherwise be overwhelmed by the number of possibilities (Saricks 2005, p. 140-143).
